Today was an exciting day in school. It was Science Day. The theme this year was ‘Change & Adapt’, which linked perfectly with our topic ‘Animal Antics’. We looked specifically at the Life Cycle of a Butterfly (something we will observe more closely next term first hand). We read the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and then watched a time-lapse video of a real life Butterfly life cycle. We thought it was fascinating. We then all made paperchain caterpillars and printed symmetrical butterflies using special paint.
