Science Day 18.04.23

Today was an exciting day in school. It was Science Day. We had a visit from the travelling scientist this morning. He worked with us to discover each of the skills we need to be a scientist. Below you can find out what we learnt and see the photos of the experiments he did with us. 

We made a whole class poster to summarise the experiments (the photo of our poster is at the bottom of the page). 


"Which one was waterproof." - Hawa

"The water went through the cloth lid." - Amelie


"The Three Little Pigs blow house down." -  Rehan

"Sticks [Wood], Air (a change from the story), Straw." - Yaqub

"The house of air fell down." - Zubair


"Which biscuit lasted longer [when dunked in the water]". - Amber

"The Pink Wafer lasted the longest." - Zara


"One group was 'birds'." - Alayna

"The other group was 'mammals'." - Allara

"'birds' had to have a beak and feathers." - Deenah

"'mammals' had to have mouths and fur." - Zainab


"We use our eyes and ears to observe." - Jasmine

"He poured 14 mentos into bottles." Nooraya

"Irn Bru and 7Up." - Huzaifah

"We watched to see which would go the highest." - Lydia
