Today, 4 Gold Class Girls attended an event at Turf Moor called Women & Girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).
Throughout the day, the girls learnt about the opportunities in STEM and heard from guest speakers from Safran and Gener8. The girls then got to tour Turf Moor talking about jobs at the grounds that involved STEM and had the opportunity to sit in the hot seat in the Press Conference room. After eating a well-earned lunch, we got to enjoy a variety of activities, including using a piece of equipment called Indi where the girls had to use coloured tiles to code Indi to successfully follow a path.
The afternoon was rounded off with guest speaker panel 2 where we heard more stories of women who pursued careers in STEM including guests from the RAF and a lady who played a part in using STEM to help support medical systems. The girls were a credit to their class and their school and all had a wonderful time.
