Following a careful consideration of nominations, thoughtful discussions and a pupil vote, we are delighted to introduce our 2026/2027 School Council. Our newly elected councillors have been chosen by their peers to represent the voices, ideas and views of children across our school. We look forward to seeing them work together, listen to others and help make a positive difference to our school community throughout the year. Congratulations to all of our 2026/2027 School Councillors! 🌟

School Council: Our First Meeting
This week, our newly formed School Council held its very first meeting – and what an exciting start it was!
We began by electing our Chair (Daniyaal), Vice Chair (Alicia) and Secretary (Gabby), giving our councillors the opportunity to take on important leadership roles. We then discussed what a Code of Conduct is and why it is important. Working together, we created our very own School Council Code of Conduct, agreeing on the values and behaviours that will help us work effectively as a team.
To finish our meeting, we shared some very exciting news: we will be visiting Burnley Council! During our visit, we will have the opportunity to find out more about how our local council works and learn what it means to be an effective councillor.
We are incredibly excited about what lies ahead for our School Council and can’t wait to put our ideas into action!
