Investigating Electricity @ UCLAN

Orange Class visited the Young Scientist Centre in UCLAN, Preston where we took part in an electrifying experiments day.  We discussed what electricity actually is, how it is made and what a circuit is before having a go at creating some ourselves.  We used the various equipment to create a working circuit and experiment with adding more bulbs and cells to it to see what would happen.  We used a multimeter to measure the voltage running through the circuit and spent the afternoon trying to crack a code, using the circuits to help.  We also got to use a Tesla ball, exploring electricity and lightning.

Tri-Kidz Event

Orange Class took part in a Tri-Kidz event, running, cycling and 'swimming'.  Children had a set amount of time and had to complete as many laps as possible as well as learning about and discussing the importance of exercise.
