The Queen's Hat

This term we have been learning the story 'The Queen's Hat' by Steve Anthony. First, we learnt the story by heart and wrote some simple sentences to retell the story. For example: 'The men went to Kensington Palace.' We used a word mat to help us write the names of the London Landmarks, they're very big words!

We built the London Landmarks from the story out of junk modelling and used them to retell the story in provision. 

We wanted to innovate our sentences to make them more exciting. We wrote them independently in our writing books.
