On Tuesday 6th January, Pink Class enjoyed a visit from SMJ Falconry, who introduced us to a variety of birds of prey to launch our English unit, Amazing Birds! We met five different birds: Midge the white-faced owl, Tike the burrowing owl, Geoff the peregrine falcon, Ollie the ashy-faced barn owl and finally Diago the American kestrel.

The children had a wonderful afternoon listening to lots of fascinating information and watching the birds fly around the classroom. Some children even had the opportunity to hold Midge. The children are now full of knowledge and ready to begin our learning.
