Pink Class celebrate 80 years since VE Day
On 8th May, Pink Class joined the rest of Britain to celebrate 80 years since VE Day. Children learnt what VE Day was and why it is important to celebrate it. Children learnt that 'VE' stands for 'Victory in Europe' and that it was to celebrate the end of the Second World War.
Children learnt what life was life in Britain during the war, including learning all about food rations, air raid shelters and evacuees. Children asked questions, studied pictures from the time and took part in activities to celebrate this special occasion.
