Winnie-The-Pooh Day 17.01.25
On 18th January every year it is 'Winnie-The-Pooh Day', we celebrated in Red Class on Friday 17th January (18th was Saturday this year). We learnt all about why A. A. Milne wrote the stories of Winnie-The-Pooh and all the different characters in the books.
Some facts we learnt:
- Christopher Robin was A. A. Milne's little boy and all the characters are based on Christopher Robin's real life toys.
- Winnie-The-Pooh was originally called Edward bear.
- Winnie-The-Pooh stories are nearly 100 years old!
- Winnie-The-Pooh LOVES honey!
We completed lots of fun activities in provision including playing snap with all the characters from the stories, collaging bees (for honey), drawing our own versions of the characters and eating yummy honey sandwiches.
