Competitions & Events
A new start to the academic year with our pupils taking part in many different competitions and events. The first event was a Year 6/7 transition Girls Rugby World Cup event which took place at Prairie Sports village. Four of our Year 6 pupils participated alongside three Year 7 pupils from Unity College. The girls played some magnificent Tag Rugby and enjoyed the World Cup themed event. Our Year 5/6 pupils also enjoyed the Football Festival and Glow Benchball events both held at Spirit of Sport. Both fantastic events with our pupils displaying great determination, cooperation and respect.
There was also some events for our younger pupils during our first half term in school. Firstly, the annual Year 1/2 Fun Run, which took place at Towneley Park. A hugely popular event amongst our children and families. We had 9 children represent St Peter’s and they all ran and completed the obstacles along the way with big smiles on their faces!
Lastly, we had pupils from Year 3/4 participate in the Active 60 Festival and AquaSplash Festival. The pupils involved throughly enjoyed the events and were excited to be involved in future events. A big well done to all pupils for their amazing efforts!
