Autumn Walk to Thompson Park 02.11.21

Tuesday 2nd November 2021

Today we went for an Autumn Walk to Thompson Park. We saw lots of birds (Mallards, Canada Geese, Pigeons, Magpies) and some very friendly, hungry squirrels! We noticed that the leaves had fallen off a lot of the trees and were on the ground in different colours: yellow, red and brown. We did see some trees still had their green leaves on. One tree had 5 leaves in 1 and one had leaves the size of Miss Franklin's face!

We learnt that we do not ever pick and eat berries from trees or bushes unless we are told we can by a grown up. We practised road safety crossing the roads and walking safely on the pavements. We did a very important job, we noticed a of taking a huge plastic rubbish sack in a tree so we got a big stick and pulled it down from the tree, putting it in the bin to protect the wildlife in the park. We also picked up lots of pieces of litter. Because we had done such super learning on our way round the park - we had a few minutes in the play park before we walked back to school.

We were all very tired for the rest of the day after such an exciting morning!
