Butterflies
It has been butterfly time again this term! We came back after the Easter Holidays to 2 pots with 5 tiny caterpillars in. We have watched them grow and grow until they created their chrysalis'. We have then patiently waited for 2 weeks while they metamorphosised into butterflies. We can all confidently name the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle. This week (w.b. 15.05.23) they have all hatched into beautiful Red Admiral Butterflies. We released them today, 18.05.23, on our EYFS yard and were pleased to watch them all fly away. They were very active before release so not many landed on us.
