PSHE in EYFS
What our PSHE curriculum looks like in EYFS
Personal Social and Emotional Development (PSED) principles underpin classroom practice which ensures all aspects of developing PSED are covered. Key person small group PSED time teaches specific skills regarding self-regulation, managing self and building relationships, with observations and an acute awareness of individual next steps being at the forefront of daily practice. Whist developing the key skills, knowledge and concepts to be healthy, independent and responsible members of society, we support our children with the transition between the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum as EYFS participate in the PSHE theme weeks. This constructs a strong foundation which can be built upon following transition into Year One, providing a secure platform for children to grow and develop as they move through school and into later life.
