Our Kandinsky Project
This term we have been learning about Wassily Kandinsky. Some facts we have learnt are:
- He was born in Russia.
- He was a teacher before he was an artist.
- He liked to listen to music when he painted.
- He liked to mix colours.
We wanted to recreate a piece of work and be artists like Kandinsky. We looked closely at his painting 'Squares With Concentric Circles'. We decided to use 4 different media to create our own pieces. We used: Tissue Paper, Felt Tip Pens, Oil Pastels and Paint. We mixed our own colours with the oil pastels and paint and we even had music on in the classroom, just like Kandinsky!
