UCLAN
The 17th April brought our long awaited trip to UCLAN in Preston to take part in a DNA workshop.
We started off by learning all about what DNA actually is DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID - shortened to DNA for short.
We found out that we actually share 97% of the same DNA as a chimpanzee, 85% of the same DNA as a dog and 50% of the same DNA as a banana!
We extracted our own DNA through a series of procedures, then put it into a necklace to wear.
