Hand Hygiene

On Wednesday 2nd October Kassim from Lancashire Health Team came to see us. He taught us all about how we should wash our hands to get rid of germs. 

Fun facts:

• You should wash your hands for 20 seconds. 

• You should always use soap to kill the germs. 

• You should wash your hands whenever you go to the toilet, touch animals, have been outside and are poorly or catch a sneeze or cough in your hands. 

To show us the importance of washing out hands, he used a special spray to spray pretend germs on Alara's hands and then see the germs show up under a black light. Then after Alara had washed her hands she held them under the black light again to see that all the germs had gone.
