On Wednesday 1st March, Orange Class went to the Manchester Jewish Museum to find out more about the Jewish faith. In class we have previously found out about the Jewish festival of Hanukkah and about Shabbat. During the morning, we looked around the synagogue there and found out more about what Jewish people believe, how they worship and the names of some artefacts used in the synagogue. We had lots of fun taking part in a treasure hunt around the museum finding out some information for ourselves. Towards the end of the morning, we used what he had learnt to create our own documentary on an ipad. Everyone worked really hard creating these. After a busy morning, we then spent the afternoon finding out more about Shabbat and in particular the food they share. We all made our own Challah bread which we were able to take home and share. The children had a wonderful time and learnt lots.
Well done Orange Class!
