Burnley St Peter's

C of E Primary School

Welcome

Welcome to our exceptionally happy school in the heart of Burnley. We hope this website gives you a sense of our family ethos and the exciting vision we pursue.

We are a small, friendly primary school located close to Burnley town centre. We have strong links with St Peter’s Church. Our Christian ethos and “family atmosphere”  infiltrates all aspects of school life. We strive to sustain positive relationships with children, parents and carers and other agencies which support our children.

We are proud of our diversity and the richness this brings. At St Peter's, everyone is welcome and feels a deep sense of belonging. Visitors often comment on the strength and authenticity of the relationships between all members of the school family – we are a school where children from all backgrounds flourish together in community.

Our school pursues a deeply Christian and inclusive vision and mission. We believe that at St Peter’s CE Primary School 'Every child of God Matters. All in their unique difference are able to flourish. This is captured by our motto (Every Child of God Matters) and is taught through our school values. Children at St Peter's understand that God is Love and whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in them - serving others through good deeds and transforming society with love. We want children who leave St Peter's to be passionate about serving God and transforming communities through acts of love.

To fulfil this ambition, we rely on our culture of togetherness. As a team and school family, we actively seek to serve one another. We learn together through a broad, challenging curriculum. We grow together in faith, wisdom and character. We struggle and face challenge together. We celebrate and succeed together. All this, we do joyfully.

I believe we are successful at providing high quality learning and teaching in a safe and caring environment. We have the highest expectations with respect to learning and behaviour. Our children and staff enjoy school and are keen to keep in touch when they leave us.

Listening to parents/carers views is very important to us and we are constantly seeking ways to further improve our very special school. You are most welcome to contact or visit us for further information.

Kind Regards
