Geography

At St. Peters C of E Primary School ‘Every Child of God Matters’. We believe in a high quality geography education that brings learning to life through engaging and meaningful fieldwork and enrichment. It inspires children’s curiosity about the world and its people. Our geography curriculum is relevant to the needs of our children and develops their knowledge and understanding about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments. Our curriculum is tailored to build upon the children’s prior knowledge starting with the local area and progressing to the wider world. This gives our children a much needed basis for comparison.

Year 5 - Living Planet (biomes including woodland biome field study)

Measuring the deciduous trees to work out how old they were and identifying types of trees that grow in the local woodland area.
