World Book Day 2022

Today was World Book Day. To celebrate we dressed up as our favourite characters or came to school in our pajamas.
Each class in school learnt about an author, our author was Julia Donaldson, we love her stories!
Below are 7 key facts we learnt about Julia Donaldson over the course of the day. We found that her most famous story was The Gruffalo, so had a messy and creative afternoon making characters from the story.
Julia Donaldson was 5 years old when she decided she wanted to be a writer. We are 5 now!
Julia Donaldson’s first book was ‘A Squash and A Squeeze’.
She gets ideas from memories, everywhere and everything.
‘The Gruffalo’ took her two weeks to write.
Julia Donaldson uses a pencil to write her rhyming books.
She writes in a library, on a train or in her study.
Julia Donaldson has written 210 books! That is so many!
