Children's Mental Health Week 2022

Mental Health Week 2022

This week is Children's Mental Health week, and we are asking our children, families to take part in this very important week.  It is vital that we not only look after our physical health (our bodies) by doing things like exercising, eating well, and getting enough sleep, we also need to look after our mental health (our minds).

From Monday 7th February to Sunday 13th February, it is Children's Mental Health week.  The theme this year is 'Growing Together'.

Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Click on the following below where Place2Be have provided lots of information and activities and free resources on their website.

The Duchess of Cambridge will give the CBeebies Bedtime Story slot the royal treatment with an appearance to mark Children's Mental Health Week. The duchess has chosen to read childhood classic The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson. It follows the story of Plop, a baby owl, who is helped by others to grow in confidence and overcome his fears. The duchess's reading will air at 6.50pm on 13 February. She will be the first royal to read a CBeebies story.

I am hoping that you might be able to listen to this with your child.
