Visit to RHS Garden Bridgewater
Green Class visited RHS Garden Bridgewater as part of our Science topic on plants. First of all we found out more about the roles of the parts of a plant in the classroom with the help of Issac who was dressed up as a plant! We chopped up some flowers and used magnifying glasses to look closely at the different parts. Our workshop leader Gillian also explained how plants are pollinated to make seeds to grow into new plants . After that, we explored the bee and butterfly garden. There were 20 different flowers to find and tick off! We had a nature walk before lunch and finally a little play on the natural woodland play area. We also planted a seed to bring back to school! Despite the rain in the morning, we had a really good time and learnt lots abut plants.
