The Coronation of HM The King 6th May 2023

We celebrated King Charles III Coronation on Friday 5th May 2023. We had been writing instructions for how to make Jam Sandwiches during the week, so we followed our instructions to make them. We had a special Coronation Lunch and came into school dressed in Red, White and Blue. After the Coronation weekend, we watched the key moments of the BBC coverage (see links below) in class and talked about what we could see, what was special/ important about the day. We particularly enjoyed the moment the crown was placed on King Charles' head and the fly over Buckingham Palace by the Red Arrows. We read the Little People, Big Dreams books about King Charles III to learn more about his life and charity work.
