Ancient Greek Day

On Monday, Orange Class was visited by a Spartan soldier.  He told us all about life in Sparta and how it compared to life in Athens.  Orange class had lots of questions to ask him and we found out lots of new information.  We made our own Greek jewellery and took part in our own Greek battle! We also found out how Sparta was ruled and how Athens was ruled and thought about the positives and negatives of each system.  Athens was a democracy, which took a long time to talk through issues.  Sparta was a monarchy (with two kings) that could take action much quicker.  Everyone had lots of fun and learnt lots of new information.
