Enterprise Week (14.6.21 - 18.6.21)
At St Peters it has been Enterprise week. Yellow class made sock puppets. We spent some time looking at different types of puppets (finger puppets, glove puppets, shadow puppets etc) after that we looked at a puppet and what we liked about it. Then we investigated different ways of joining materials. We practiced gluing, sewing and stapling. The children decided that gluing wasn’t the best way because the decorations fell off, sewing was a good way but very difficult as the needle kept falling off the thread. Most children enjoyed stapling the most. After that the children decided their sock puppet, made it and then evaluated it. Then the children chose to sell their puppet for the price of £1 each.
