NSPCC Number Day 04.02.22

Today is NSPCC Number Day, we are focusing on Fractions. We started by drawing a picture of a chocolate cake and discussed how we split this in half, down the middle into two equal pieces, and then into quarters, 4 equal pieces. We then applied this learning together, cutting a real chocolate cake in half and then into quarters. After we had eaten the chocolate cake, we then had the opportunity to apply our learning independently in provision. We cut out a picture of a chocolate cake and split it into either halves or quarters. A fun, interactive, yummy day!
